Creating Your Own 3D Model of the Game of Thrones Throne

Are you a fan of the hit television show Game of Thrones? Have you ever wanted to create your own version of the iconic Iron Throne? Well, now you can! With a few simple materials and a bit of time and effort, you can construct your very own 3D model of the Iron Throne.

Materials Needed

The materials you will need to build your 3D model of the Iron Throne are: two sheets of thin cardboard, two sheets of thin foam board, a ruler, a pair of scissors, a hobby knife, a hot glue gun, a pencil, and some black and red acrylic paints. You may also need some sandpaper and a bit of patience!

Step One: Cutting The Cardboard

The first step is to cut the two sheets of thin cardboard into four rectangles. The two larger rectangles should be eight inches by sixteen inches each, and the two smaller rectangles should be six inches by eight inches each. Use your ruler and pencil to mark out the rectangles, and then cut them with the scissors.

Step Two: Cutting The Foam Board

Next, take the two sheets of foam board and cut them into four rectangles. Again, the two larger rectangles should be eight inches by sixteen inches each, and the two smaller rectangles should be six inches by eight inches each. Use your ruler and pencil to mark out the rectangles, and then cut them with the hobby knife.

Step Three: Glue The Pieces Together

Now it’s time to start constructing the 3D model of the Iron Throne. Take the two larger pieces of cardboard and glue them together with the hot glue gun. Then take the two smaller pieces of cardboard and glue them together with the hot glue gun. Next, take the two larger pieces of foam board and glue them together with the hot glue gun. Finally, take the two smaller pieces of foam board and glue them together with the hot glue gun.

Step Four: Painting The Model

Now that the 3D model of the Iron Throne is assembled, it’s time to give it some color! Using the black and red acrylic paints, paint the model to your desired design. Be creative and have fun! Once you’re finished painting, let the model dry for several hours, or overnight.

Step Five: Finishing Touches

Now that the model is dry, it’s time to finish it off. Use the sandpaper to smooth any rough edges and give the model a polished look. Once you’re satisfied with your work, it’s time to proudly display your 3D model of the Iron Throne!
